Continued increase in demand for Charity's services.
Due to the ever increasing demand for the services provided - there are frequently queues for access - caused in part by the current recession and partly by the ongoing influx from Eastern Europe the Charity is investigating the feasability of increasing the number of computers available to the clients as well as providing additional services. This would require a survey of clients needs and aspirations to ensure that any expansion is relevant to the requirements of the clients as well as a cost analysis to provide an objective assessment.
Into Work/Education/Training
Four of our former volunteers are continuing in furthering their education;
- Gail is now in her third year of an English Lit course
- Mak is in his first year of a Degree in Computer Science course
- Sue is in the second year of a Degree in Forensic Science
- Steve, with his German partner, is now living and studying in Germany.

Is repeat homelessness a danger?
The current recession and massive increases in utility and basic food costs will hit the disposable incomes of all those recently resettled into a flat as well as those resettled for some time despite the increase of approx. 7% in JSA and other benefits. There will be a danger of repeat homelessness as they struggle to budget for bills with some deciding to return to the street.
